Not Found

Today's the big day in my household, or at least, in part of it. Before work this morning, I went and picked up the Season 1 set of Lost. I knew Meron really enjoyed it and wanted me to watch it, but I didn't realize just how excited she was. I'm pretty sure that if she wasn't waiting for me to watch it, she'd be about through the fourth episode by now. When I went home at lunch, I was surprised to see it still in the shrink wrap (I must have gotten the first one in Russellville, because the guy at Wal-Mart had to dig through the boxes he was unloading to find it). I commented on that and she said, "I knew if I unwrapped it, I'd have to start watching it." So that will be the biggest part of the evening, I'm sure! And since we are going to try to get it done before the season premiere in two weeks, my L&O watching will have to be curtailed, but that's all right. I'd hate to run out of DVD episodes too quickly!

Still don't know what's wrong with the car. I called the body shop and they were supposed to come either look at it or move it today, but as of lunch they'd not been there. Hopefully it's just a battery and they can fix it very easily. Meron's car doesn't have much in the way of air conditioning, and even though it's not boiling today, it's still not as cool as I'd like it.

Cards and Cubs tonight, as the Cardinals try to get their magic number down to single digits, something that will also take a Houston loss. They could clinch the division next week, which would be nice. I believe all the callups for the expanded rosters have been made, and no Rick Ankiel. It'd have been nice to see him, but I understand some of the manuevering that has to be done due to baseball's rules. They did call up another of their top pitching prospects, Adam Wainwright, so I'll be interested to see how he does here in September.

Benjamin slept all night last night! Went to bed around 9 and didn't get up until 6:30 or so. We'll see if he can do it again. If he could make a habit of that, both of his parents would be extremely appreciative. Then again, he's been a little more fussy today for some reason. Hopefully they are not connected!
