Memory Lane

Ah, I do have a little time to sneak a post in here. Not that there is terribly much to say. Spent most of the day listening to a guy talk about governmental and non-profit accounting. If accounting is boring to the rest of you, governmental is boring even to most accountants! Unfortunately, I needed the CPE credit since I do just enough work on those kind of audits, but not enough work that most of what was said was relevant. Still, it could have easily been worse.

And the great part about going to Fayetteville is that I get to drive the Pig Trail. I know the new highway is faster, straighter and smoother, but it's not nearly as much fun to drive. Curves, switchbacks, straightaways, the Pig Trail has it all. I drove that way every time I came home from college, so I've driven it lots of times. Besides, when you drive it on a day like today, there are spots where the trees make a canopy over the road and the views are just magnificent in spots. It might take 10-15 minutes longer, but it's well worth it. Makes me think I'm back in college!

Didn't make it to the poker game tonight, so I can pretty much consider myself up $15 for the evening!
