Ouch, Ouch, Ouch

OK, that'll teach me to speak even a little bit of the trash talk. Not only have the Cards lost two straight to the Cubs (guaranteeing that they'll lose their first series in the new Busch) but Albert Pujols could be out 2-6 weeks. Like I said in the last entry, Pujols was the glue to this lineup. It was possible to get away with a couple of weak spots in the lineup because he was being so dominating. Now that safety net is gone, which means that Walt Jocketty almost has to make some sort of deal. The lineup that the Cards will be running out there is subpar, to say the least.

Anyway, the Pujols loss has ruined what was a fairly decent day. We took Benjamin to the park for a bit this morning, then had ice cream at DQ this afternoon. Even got a nap in, since I watched 12 or 13 innings of last night's loss to the Cubs. Izzy, you get it done most of the time, but loading the bases is not the way to do it. I know Rolen made the critical error, but it should have never gotten that far.

Just had to get that off my chest. And hey, maybe this guy will be a future Cardinal hope.....

He's already about the same size as Eck, so he definitely has a future. :)
