Not much went on this weekend. We had Sarah's baptism on Sunday, and my parents and brother made it over to Wesley for the event. Sarah did pretty well, though she started fussing when the water was placed on her head. We didn't hang around the front too much after that!
Meron also got to go see Order of the Phoenix with Kerri, Micah's mother. Sarah did much better for me this time, being awake and playful, then sleepy, then she ate. Much better than Thursday night all the way around!
We're in the final gear of planning for our St. Louis/Ohio trip. We got a few things this weekend to prepare for it, including a new backpack and other items for Benjamin, mainly all decorated with Cars characters. He's really looking forward to everything as well, though I don't know that he comprehends how long the trip is going to be. My parents were nice enough to buy us a portable DVD player for the car, so that'll help the time go by pretty well. Stopping in St. Louis will help the trip up there seem pretty short, since it's about 7 hours there and then 7 hours from there to Columbus, with another 2 hours after that to Meron's family area.
I've told him that I'll get him a Scott Rolen poster if we can find it plus a new cap, because his is getting a little tight. I'm trying to decide what player T-shirt I want to get. I've got a collection going of them, having 2 Pujols (one I just got from Father's Day and I swear Sarah has spit up on it every time I wear it), a Rolen, a Carpenter and a couple of former players. I'm trying to decide between Adam Wainwright, Yadier Molina, and perhaps Jim Edmonds. I'm sure I'll be grabbing one up, though--feel free to vote on which one I should get.
Map directions have been printed, lists are being made. Hard to believe it's about here, but I'm glad that it is!
