Sorry for any that might peruse this section of cyberspace with any regularity. There hasn't been many changes, due to the fact that I spent all day most of the last week down in Sheridan, getting back into town around 6:30 or so. After being gone all that time, the evenings were spent with the wife and child. But we're done down there, so maybe I can write a little more often.
Got to see Serenity on Saturday night. I won't spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen it, but there were a few things that really surprised me out of it. Some great lines (though most of them were in the trailer) and overall a worthy addition to the Firefly mythos. However, the box office has been pretty weak, so I'm guessing we won't be seeing the Serenity crew again for a while. Good news is, though, that I've read that Pocket Books is starting a line of original Firefly fiction, which hopefully will help fill in some backstories and solve some questions, mainly with Shepherd Book.
Getting a new back door put in at the house, along with a screen door as well. The door we have now has a middle section of glass divided into squares, which allows Benjamin to look outside, which he especially likes to do when the dog is running around out there. However, the panes were getting torn up and the door in general just wasn't in good shape. So we decided we wanted a solid door, since the glass is always a mess due to the dog, etc. However, we hated to take away Benjamin's fun, so we got a glass screen door. That means we can open the door and let him look out, but still be able to close the main door and keep some of the sun out as well.
Mowed my back yard on Saturday, so I'm hoping that only one more mowing will need to be done before the end of the year. I'll need to weedeat my backyard as well, but if the temperatures stay nice, that might not be as much of a problem. I want to make sure all the grass is taken care of, because my annual Christmas light extravaganca has lights on the ground and I'd prefer them not to catch anything on fire.
Cards took care of the Padres (which really didn't surprise anyone, I don't think) and rode Chris Carpenter's solid outing last night to take Game 1 of the NLCS. I'm not real excited about facing the Astros' pitching staff, but their offense tends to be on the weaker side, so hopefully our pitching will keep them down. Reggie Sanders continues to go nuts, setting a record with multiple RBI games in 4 straight postseason games. If he keeps that up, the Cards will be champs come the end of the month.
Not just a terribly exciting week of not posting, so I'll wrap this one up. Maybe I'll think of more stuff and post it tomorrow.

Hey, don't I know you? Yes, I think you're that guy who used to keep us blogtained.
Glad to see things slowing down for you C. It's too early to be thinking about Christmas Extravaganzas. There is still a World Series to be won. ;)
Good to have you back. Personally, I'd think it was hilarious if you lit the yard on fire.
I'm sure you would, Deb. The wife, however, might not be as amused. ;)
